Public Airing and Discussion of Eyes on Freedom: Evolving Gifts of Simple, Nonviolent Living, held at the Sunderland Library, 20 School St., Sunderland, MA, 6:30 p.m.

We have just released Eyes on Freedom: Evolving Gifts of Simple, Nonviolent Living, an hour-long audio documentary based on 25 interviews we recorded with people who knew and loved peacemakers Wally and Juanita Nelson. We spent a couple years doing these interviews for the Nelson Legacy Project and the past year working with production assistant Nicholas Boyer to weave together excerpts of the narratives and music to create an inspirational dialogue on living our nonviolent values. As we cut and chiseled, not everyone’s voice wound up in the piece, sometimes due to technical issues with the recording, but most did.
